Puducherry Blood Banks

The Government of Puducherry took a worthful opening move of setting up an exclusive council for blood banks in the region, that is to say, Pondicherry Council of Blood Transfusion. During the year 1996, the Pondicherry Council of Blood Transfusion, shortly called as PCBT was established to supervise the blood bank facilities in the union territory.

From the date of its opening, the Pondicherry Council of Blood Transfusion is supervising every single blood bank facility located in the region to check enough amounts of blood units are maintained to fulfill the rising requirement in government and private health care facilities.
